Nokia X5-00 and X5-01 Due To Launch

 

 

 

The Nokia X5-00 and X5-01 have appeared on the Ovi Store device selector which implies they are due for launch very soon.

 

Both mobiles run on the Symbian^3 platform and neither features a touch-screen, which implies they are lower-end smartphones.

 

The Nokia X5-00 is a mobile designed for the Chinese market which features a 2.4 inch screen and comes in a candy-bar format. It looks unlikely this mobile will be launched in the UK , as its been specifically designed for Chinese consumers and networks.

 

However, the Nokia X5-01 (pictured above) will launch in the UK. It comes in a square format very similar to the X3 slider and has a full sliding QWERTY keypad. It features a 5 mega-pixel camera with digital zoom and LED flash, microSD support  and 200MB of built-in storage.

 

The X5-01 has full social networking support including Twitter and also supports Wi-Fi and 3G  connectivity , has a 3.5 mm headphone socket , FM radio and microUSB capability .

 

The Nokia X5-01 seems to be aimed at younger consumers with its funky styling and the number of color options which include Blue, Pink, Purple, Yellow and Black.
